The Role

We are after an experienced team player with a solid grounding of modern enterprise infrastructure, with both the aptitude and desire to learn new technologies.

Your role will involve:

  • Contributing to the design, configuration, and implementation of IT Storage Infrastructure projects as well as other aspects of disaster recovery, data protection and backup.
  • Supporting the integration of new projects, server hardware & software configurations
  • Visit client data centres, keep up to date client documentation and provide full technical support once implemented.
  • Evaluate new and emerging storage technologies

You will also play a role in delivering managed services and managed backup operations (based in Bracknell), so will need to be within a reasonable commute of the office.

Training and certification are key and you will be expected to make extensive use of our Virtual Lab facilities to learn and explore the complex interaction between OS’s/HyperVisors/Cloud Platforms and the various hardware and software technologies we work with.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • IP Networks – routing and switching and network security
  • Microsoft Server Operating systems – Server 2008 R2 and above
  • Microsoft Applications – SQL Server – Exchange – Active Directory
  • Enterprise Storage – iSCSI Sans, NAS, DAS
  • Hypervisors – Hyper-V, VMware
  • Scripting or Programming Capabilities (PowerShell or Perl OR Bash)

The ideal Candidate will:

  • Have at least 3 years system experience with an IT position
  • Have a can do attitude to Infrastructure – You have a natural insight into technology, can predict what will happen and solve problems based on significant accumulated experience
  • Be able to work unassisted but receive ongoing training where required
  • Be used to the challenges of balancing multiple projects that might be happening concurrently

CD-DataHouse Limited is an innovative Storage Systems & Data Protection Integrator working with small to medium sized Enterprises implementing SAN, Backup and virtualised (VMware) Cloud Storage technologies.

The Individual we’re Looking for:

We’re looking for a key individual likely to be 1-3 years into their IT career.

Your current work sees you tackle varied and different issues each day.

You have hands on experience with VMware, iSCSI SANs, Windows Server 2008, AD, IP Networking and know your way around Exchange and SQL as well as being able to ‘google’ your way through Linux.

You are currently in a support/project role, possibly as a second line engineer, but are looking for the opportunity to learn and grow and need a greater degree of diversity and responsibility than your current role offers.

The Role:

This role will support our customers storage environments as well as work on infrastructure roll-outs for new projects.

You will also work closely with our Senior Engineers as they implement the larger/more complex 100TB plus backup and storage systems and gain valuable networking, server and storage knowledge in the process.

You will receive the required training to formalise your skills as well as develop new skills.

Desired Technical Skills:

  • IP Networks – Basic routing and switching
  • Microsoft Server Operating systems – Server 2008 R2 and above
  • Understanding of Microsoft Applications – SQL Server – Exchange – Active Directory
  • Enterprise Storage – iSCSI Sans, NAS, DAS

We are looking for unique engineer to work for our small but rapidly growing Storage Infrastructure consultancy.

The role will be based near Winkfield, Windsor (not far from Legoland, and yes an annual pass can be arranged if that becomes a job requirement)

The role:

  • Pre&Post-Sales Engineer
  • Advise our smaller clients and opportunities on backup and storage technologies
  • Run demonstrations of these technologies
  • Become a product expert of the commonly used solutions (Unitrends/Veeam/NetApp/EMC)
  • Implement some of these solutions

The role will also have other functions that will extend to some tech support, some bug and fix analysis, along with managing some internal tech and co-lo facilities.

Ideal Candidate: will have hands on windows Infrastructure experience.
You will be speaking daily with people, who at times, may have more Infrastructure experience than yourself, so you need to have a high confidence level in
1) your own ability to learn quickly

Ideally this would be a Full-Time role, though a Part Time role could be offered to the right Applicant.

The part time role would have the possibility of flexible hours, along with some remote teleworking, against a sub-set of the roles/tasks below

The role will include:

  • Invoicing
    • Accounts Receivable
    • With Invoice Follow-up
  • Order processing with our Suppliers
    • And Accounts Payable
  • Managing the internal CRM (Client Relationship Management ) system
    • Ensuring data is complete and Client notes are updated
    • Analysing Data within the CRM system and producing various reports from the CRM system
  • Managing Annual Contract renewals and maintaining a list of these renewal
    • ensuring clients are notified in advance of contracts about to expire
